18-Year-Old Guard Shows Promise in Chicago
USC Guard Bronny James makes his presence known.
NBA teams got their first up-close look at USC guard Bronny James on Monday at the 2024 draft combine in Chicago. The 18-year-old son of LeBron James measured 6 ft 2 in or 188 cm, with a wingspan of 6 ft 8 in or 203 cm. He weighed in at 190 pounds.
James' measurements are similar to those of his father, who measured 6-foot-7 without shoes and 245 pounds with a 7-foot wingspan as an 18-year-old ahead of the 2003 NBA Draft. However, James is still growing and could add more size and strength in the coming years.
James is a consensus four-star recruit and is considered one of the top prospects in the 2024 class. He averaged 13.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game for USC last season. He also shot 43.4% from the field and 34.5% from three-point range.
James' performance at the combine will likely help his draft stock. He is expected to be a first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
